I have always used music as a tool for introspection. Most of the music I’ve created over the years has never been shared with others. Those pieces served unique purposes to help me think and to grow through different stages of my life.
In the wake of my father’s death, I’ve found myself broken and confused. Stripped and raw. Searching for answers, and a new way to be in the world.
This stage of my life has been defined by thoughts of him, and of my life to this point. My father gave me that life. I am what’s left of him.
Music continues to help me understand myself and my place in the world. I’m thankful for this gift, and I will share this “album” in real-time as I complete pieces and assimilate the lessons I learn from them. This stage of my process will yield recordings of live, single-take performances of the songs and accompanying videos.
